Facility Accreditation Program
 |
The ISCD Accreditation Program is a dynamic, practice-based assessment of components within a facility that specializes in skeletal assessment. The program assesses compliance with criteria found in the program's Statement on Essential Elements. These Essential Elements, developed and updated by the ISCD Facility Accreditation Council, must be evident in all submissions from facilities applying for accreditation. Definitions, clarifications and demonstrations of compliance with these Essential Elements will be included within all applications and available online.

Facility Accreditation Program Update
The ISCD Commission on the Accreditation of Skeletal Assessment Facilities (CASAF) has completed its evaluation of the pilot phase of the ISCD Facility Accreditation Program and after careful review of that evaluation, the Board of Directors has decided to consider additional improvements to CASAF prior to expanding the program at this time. Currently accredited facilities will remain accredited by ISCD and those with provisional accreditation will be able to complete the necessary steps to become fully accredited, but no new facilities will be accepted at this time. Final determination on how to proceed with those currently accredited when their accreditation period expires is currently under discussion and will be communicated directly to the programs affected.
