Membership Category Descriptions Clinician/Scientist/Researcher
Members are those individuals who have postgraduate doctoral
level degrees (MD, PhD, DDS, DVS, DO) or equivalent or are non-physician
practitioners (NPs, PAs) whose state license entitles them to provide
densitometry and similar services. Clinicians have the right to
attend annual business meetings, vote on Society matters, hold office,
receive the Journal of Clinical Densitometry and SCAN®, and receive
discounts on ISCD programs and products.
Associate Members are residents or fellows in an approved training program. Associates have the right to attend annual business meetings, receive SCAN® and receive discounts on ISCD programs and products. They do not have the right to vote on ISCD matters and may not hold office or positions as committee chairs. There are three membership options for associates that are based on the level of publications received.
Retired Members are individuals who were previously ISCD members but have since retired from employment. A retired member is an individual who is not receiving monies from medical or ancillary work for services to the medical community. This would include medical consulting or work for industry partners. Retired members have the right to attend annual business meetings, receive SCAN® and receive discounts on ISCD programs and products. They do not have the right to vote on ISCD matters and may not hold office or positions as committee chairs. Retired members may serve as members on committees and other work groups and may serve as chairs of task forces or other special project work groups. There are three membership options for retired members that are based on the level of publications received.
Corporate Membership is designed for companies that provide equipment, products, pharmaceuticals, and services to clinicians and technologists in bone densitometry. Corporate Member companies appoint individuals to represent the company on the Corporate Advisory Council, the industry voice in ISCD. Other employees of a Corporate Member company may join as an Industry member if they do not otherwise qualify for membership under any other category. Contact ISCD for more information. Visit our Corporate Partners page for a listing of our current supporters.
