The Fairmont New Orleans sets the standard for elegance and impeccable service in a city known for its gracious accommodations.  Built in 1893, this legendary hotel stands adjacent to the French Quarter, in the Central Business District.

The Fairmont New Orleans is located just 1.5 blocks from America 's oldest bohemia, The French Quarter .  Home to writers, musicians and artists such as Louis Armstrong , Truman Capote , William Faulkner and F.Scott Fitzgerald to name but a few.  At one time 'the quarter' was the entire city.  Explore Bourbon Street , and the antique shops on Royal Street .  See the other narrow streets dense with steep-roofed Creole cottages and majestic town homes; Some dating back to before the Civil War.

This magnificent hotel in the heart of the city's business district offers 615 luxury guestrooms and 85 suites. Each guest room is a testament to the hotel's long tradition of elegance, featuring high ceilings, elaborate bathrooms and every amenity that travelers desire.

New Orleans has been called everything from 'the Paris of the America 's' to the 'Northernmost Banana Republic'.  Over the past 300 years, New Orleans has been battered by hurricanes, floods and generations of 'laissez le bon temps rouler' ('let the good times roll').  Despite the revelry and 'less than dry' reputation it enjoys, New Orleans' lore may be a little more fiction than fact...
