Bone Densitometry Course

As the world leader in bone densitometry certification, the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), provides comprehensive educational courses in bone densitometry and offers certification for those who perform DXA scans and those who interpret the results.

The ISCD Bone Densitometry Course is divided into two programs. The Clinician Course (open to MDs, PhDs, DOs, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants) is most appropriate for those involved in the interpretation of DXA scans. The Technologist Course (open to Technologists and Allied Health Professionals) is most appropriate for those involved in the performance of the bone densitometry examination. The core elements of the program provide a set of standard practices and information to raise the level of awareness and education in bone densitometry. The course emphasizes central DXA testing. In addition, a solid foundation in other forms of bone mass measurement, including peripheral DXA and QCT is provided.
