Qualifications for Membership
ISCD membership stands at over 6,000 and includes clinicians, technologists,
allied health providers, corporate, and in-training fellow/resident
members. Membership is annual (January - December). Dues are not
pro-rated.

Clinician/Scientist/Researcher
Members are those individuals who have postgraduate doctoral
level degrees (MD, PhD, DDS, DVS, DO) or equivalent or are non-physician
practitioners (NPs, PAs) whose state license entitles them to provide
densitometry and similar services. Clinicians have the right to
attend annual business meetings, vote on Society matters, hold office,
receive the Journal of Clinical Densitometry and SCAN®, and receive
discounts on ISCD programs and products.
Technologist Members
are healthcare professionals who perform bone density tests. Technologists
have the right to attend annual business meetings, vote on Society
matters, hold office, receive SCAN® and receive discounts on ISCD
programs and products. There are three membership
options for technologists that are based on the level of publications
received:

- Regular: SCAN® quarterly newsletter
Technologist
- Upgraded: SCAN® quarterly newsletter and
online access to the Journal of Clinical Densitometry (JCD Online).
Technologist
- Full: SCAN® quarterly newsletter, online
access and print subscription to the Journal of Clinical Densitometry (JCD).
Associate Members
are residents or fellows in an approved training program. Associates
have the right to attend annual business meetings, receive SCAN® and receive discounts on ISCD programs and products.
They do not have the right to vote on ISCD matters and may not hold office or positions as committee chairs. There are three membership options for associates that are based
on the level of publications received.

Retired Members are individuals who were previously ISCD members but have since retired from employment. A retired member is an individual who is not receiving monies from medical or ancillary work for services to the medical community. This would include medical consulting or work for industry partners. Retired members
have the right to attend annual business meetings, receive SCAN® and receive discounts on ISCD programs and products. They do not have the right to vote on ISCD matters and may not hold office or positions as committee chairs. Retired members may serve as members on committees and other work groups and may serve as chairs of task forces or other special project work groups. There are three membership options for retired members that are based on the level of publications received.

Industry Members are individuals who work for a company fitting the corporate member
description who do not otherwise qualify for membership under any
other category. Industry Members have the right to attend
annual business meetings, receive online access and a print subscription
to the Journal of Clinical Densitometry and SCAN®, and receive discounts
on ISCD programs and products.
They do not have the right to vote on ISCD matters and may not hold office or positions as committee chairs.
Corporate Membership
is designed for companies that provide equipment, products, pharmaceuticals,
and services to clinicians and technologists in bone densitometry.
Corporate Member companies appoint individuals to represent
the company on the Corporate Advisory Council, the industry voice
in ISCD. Other employees of a Corporate Member company may
join as an Industry member if they do not otherwise qualify for
