How To Use ISCD’s Educational Mobile App

ISCD utilizes the Educational Mobile App for all live educational courses. The information below will explain how to log into and navigate the app and find your course materials. You will also find information on how to use the Audience Response System, complete course evaluations for ACCME and ASRT credit, and access course prerequisites.

Downloading the App

The mobile app can be used on a mobile device, tablet, or desktop.
To download the app on your iPhone or iPad, go to the iTunes Store and search ‘ISCD.”
To download the app on your Android phone or tablet, go to the Play Store and search “ISCD.”

To access the desktop site from your computer, use the link provided in the email invitation or contact ISCD staff at 860-259-1000 for the direct link.

Logging In

The ISCD mobile app now has single-sign-on capabilities. To log in, use your ISCD username and password. There is no need to create a new username or password. If you have forgotten your password, click “Need Help Logging In?” You will be redirected to the ISCD website to reset your password.

Accessing Course Schedule and Materials

By clicking on “Agenda,” you will find the course schedule, location, faculty, and course materials.
The Agenda button is located at the bottom of your screen for mobile device users and the top of your screen for desktop users. The Agenda will show each lecture of the course. Click on each lecture to find out more information about the faculty and lecture objectives. The slide deck for each lecture can be found in the Documents section of the individual lecture pages.
The course syllabi, welcome slides, and ancillary materials will be found under the Introduction pages in the Agenda. Click on the Introduction page and go to the Documents section.
For those attending both Day 1 and Day 2 of the Clinicians course, the Day 1 syllabus is located under the Day 1 Introduction page and the Day 2 syllabus is located under the Day 2 Introduction page.

Additional Resources

If using a mobile device, click on the “More” button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will allow you to view ISCD Policies, Disclosures, Faculty, and a Map of the course location.
Also in this menu, technologists will find the Technologist Study Guide. Those attending the QBD Clinicians course, DXA Body Composition Analysis, or Vertebral Fracture Recognition will find DXA Resource Materials in this menu.
If using the desktop site, the menu items will be located in the blue bar at the top of your screen.
If you are taking more than one course, you can click on the “Conferences” button to switch between course sites.

Audience Response System

The Audience Response System (ARS) is currently used as a polling system for QBD Clinicians and Technologists only. However, all courses will have access for attendees to give course feedback in the Audience Response System.
Click on the Audience Response button at the bottom of your screen for mobile device users or top of your screen for desktop users. This will take you to the site where you will find the individual lectures for your course.
To use the polling system, click on the lecture that is currently being taught. The questions will NOT appear until the instructor has enabled and clicked on the corresponding ARS slide in the PowerPoint. You will recognize the Audience Response slides by the red ARS symbol on the question slides. When the slide is shown, the question will appear on your device. Choose the answer and hit submit.
Some lectures may have multiple questions while others may have none at all.
To provide feedback for each session, click on the individual session then click the blue “Course Feedback” button. This data is collected for staff and faculty to refer to when doing course updates. Course feedback is not required to receive course credit but is greatly appreciated.

Course Evaluations

Course evaluations, which are required to receive course credit are not located in the mobile app. Attendees must log into ISCD.org and click on “My Profile Page” in the top right corner. When you log in, check to make sure it says “Welcome YOUR NAME” in the top right-hand corner of the screen. If it says “Welcome Webuser,” you must log out and log back in again (this is a frequently occurring issue and we are currently working on a resolution). Once in the profile scroll down to Live Education, find the course you want to evaluate, and click “Go to Evaluation.”
Course evaluations will be opened only after the course is complete. Attendees will receive a separate email with these instructions once they have been granted access to complete the evaluation.

Accessing Course Prerequisites

Attendees must log into ISCD.org and click on “My Profile Page” in the top right corner. When you log in, check to make sure it says “Welcome YOUR NAME” in the top right-hand corner of the screen. If it says “Welcome Webuser,” you must log out and log back in again (this is a frequently occurring issue and we are currently working on a resolution). Once in the profile scroll down to Online Education and find the prerequisite video. Click on “Start the Course” and choose the type of credit you want to receive. Once you have watched the video click on the button that says “Click Here” to start the assessment. Once you have accessed the assessment questions you will not have access to view the video again on this site. Attendees have 3 tries to receive a 75% or higher on the assessment. Do not click the back button at any time during the assessment. This will result in a failed attempt. If you exit out of the assessment and come back before you have finished, the questions you have already answered will be saved and you will not be able to change them. Once the assessment has been passed and completed, follow the instructions to download and print your certificate.
For your convenience, the prerequisite videos can now also be found in the mobile app. Click on Agenda then find Introduction Day 1 or Introduction Day 2. The videos will be listed under “Links” on the lecture page. Please note that the videos in the mobile app are not meant to be viewed for credit. Credit for the prerequisites can only be claimed by logging into your profile page at ISCD.org.
